Kid Simple: A Radio Play in the Flesh
Southern Theater
1420 Washington Ave S Minneapolis
Kid Simple: A Radio Play in the Flesh is a fantasy theater experience all about adolescence, creativity, ambition and adventure. This original play, courtesy of Minneapolis' Swandive Theatre, follows Moll, a teenage inventor who wins her high school science fair with a machine that can hear sounds that actually can't be heard. When a shape-shifting mercenary steals the contraption -- and Moll's heart -- she embarks on a quest to save the very nature of sound as we know it. In her pursuit, Moll traverses chasms and rafts rivers in a world where sound is much more than what meets the ear. Enjoy this quirky, irreverent fable of youth and innocence, featuring live sound effects that create mutinous onomatopoeia and a sensory experience unlike anything else.

Kid Simple: A Radio Play in the Flesh Reviews
Aisle Say Twin Cities - Highly Recommended
"...Kid Simple: a radio play in the flesh is, quite simply, a fun experience. It’s both serious and silly. You’ll find yourself laughing at the situations that seem familiar (and even at the unfamiliar ones), but you’ll also find yourself contemplating some of the more serious elements that are just beneath the surface. But that, to me, is the earmark of a great comedy: its ability to make you both laugh and think at all the right moments."
