Chameleon & Theatre Uncorked to Bring Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

There's something unsettling about George and Martha. Their marriage is not what it seems, as Nick and Honey find out when the older couple invites them home after a party. As a friendly gathering slides into mayhem and despair and relationships unravel, liquor and insults flow freely in an atmosphere fraught with tension, emotional manipulation, and seduction. Chameleon is proud to partner with Theatre Uncorked to present Edward Albee's Tony Award winning drama, widely viewed as a landmark achievement in American playwriting.

Edward Albee (1928-2016) was one of the most respected and influential American Playwrights of the 20th and early 21st centuries, and his drama Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? remains his most famous and iconic work. The original production of the play won the Tony Award for Best Play in 1963, and inspired the Academy Award-winning 1966 film directed by Mike Nichols.

Chameleon is proud to co-produce this classic of the Modern Stage with Theatre Uncorked. The production is directed by Joe Hendren, and features performances by George Michael Calger, Kari Elizabeth Godfrey, Tim Reddy, and Lizi Shea.

Performances will take place November 4, 7, 11, 12, 17, 18, and 19 at 7:30 pm, and November 6, 13, and 20 at 2 pm.

A discussion with cast and crew will take place immediately following the Sunday, November 6th matinee. Monday, November 7 will be Industry Night, featuring Pay-What-You-Can pricing at the door.

All performances take place at the Ames Center's Black Box Theatre in Burnsville, Minnesota. Tickets are $22 for adults; $19 for students, seniors, Fringe Button holders, ASL patrons, and groups of 8-19; $16 for groups of 20 or more. Prices include a $2 facility fee.
