"...It's a fun gimmick, but it's just that. And like all gimmicks, it wears thin, particularly when stretched from a one-hour Fringe format to a two-act, two-hour endeavor. Performers Jennifer Eckes, Judi Gronseth, Kevin Werner Hohlstein and Timm Holmly created the show, but the production is in need of a director and perhaps a choreographer. They're good singers all, but without an over-seeing presence to shape and hone the performances, the songs feel like so many discrete audition pieces rather than a coherent whole. There's not a word of dialogue, no linking material and -- most gratingly -- no live musicians."
