Show Information

Jungle Theatre

Twin Cities Pioneer Press- Recommended

"...Director/set designer Joel Sass deftly balances the elements of the play and his set is a marvel of gorgeous detail (weirdly, after "Annapurna," it's his second-in-a-row Jungle set that includes both a trashed-up main room and an on-stage bathroom). There's not much he can do with what is beginning to seem like McPherson's borderline misogyny -- for him, women are unknowable waifs, meant to be saviors or saved -- but he and Richardson give Aimee vividness and complexity, particularly in the bold choice of her wounded physicality, which suggests someone who knows she needs to save herself even if she isn't sure how."

How Was The Show- Recommended

"...Director Joel Sass may play up the laughs a bit-the production may not be as dark as others might interpret it-but it absolutely works. In fact, the funnier it gets, the more poignant the tears. This is not your traditional holiday show; it's much better. Yes, you should go."
