In Hooray for Hollywood, The Phipps Dance Theater takes a glamorous walk down memory lane with iconic dances and award-winning scenes from classic films, from old Hollywood through today. Choreographers Melissa Huber and Christina Leines of Hudson, Regan Saunders of Minneapolis, and director Mackenzie Lewis of Stillwater work with a company of 51 dancers from throughout the area. The show will highlight films such as The Wizard of Oz, Singin' in the Rain, Saturday Night Fever and La La Land. Influences include Charlie Chaplin and Busby Berkeley, as well as appearances from Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, Shirley Temple and Fred Astaire. You'll be saying Hooray for Hollywood after this show at The Phipps Center for the Arts in Hudson.
