Emilie/Eurydice
Illusion Theater
528 Hennepin Avenue Minneapolis
Emilie/Eurydice is a new work inspired by a piece on Radiolab and the ancient Greek myth of Eurydice. It was developed over the past two years in a pair of workshops and tells a story of enduring love and ambiguous loss in the modern world. When a young woman, Emilie, falls into a coma following a devastating accident, her loved ones must walk the line between hope and grief; learning when to fight and how to let go. Meanwhile, on the other side of consciousness and life, Emilie embarks on a remarkable journey.

Emilie/Eurydice Reviews
Star Tribune - Recommended
"...The production, whose propulsion and emotional punch are aided by the live scoring of cellist Emily Dantuma, is inspired by real-life events. After being hit by a truck in New York, student Emilie Gossiaux was not expected to emerge from her coma but she miraculously recovered."

Twin Cities Pioneer Press - Highly Recommended
"...But "Emilie / Eurydice," the company's newest work, is both accessible and lovely, a tale that -- if sometimes too convenient in its telling -- amply rewards 75 minutes of your attention."
