The powerful actors of the Brave New Workshop join the rest of the world in protest with their first show of the New Year, Occupy Arden Hills: or, Brother Can You Spare a Dome? This satirical, non-violent demonstration of new sketches and songs is certain to deliver 99% laughter (and 1% rage) in a time when it is most needed. Previews for Occupy Arden Hills run February 2 through 10, with the official VIP and media kick-off on Saturday, February 11 at 8 p.m.

In Occupy Arden Hills: or, Brother Can You Spare a Dome? the Brave New Workshop has one simple demand: let the good times roll! At a time when almost all of us are unhappy about something, the Brave New Workshop steps up to inject its civilly disobedient satire and greed-less laughter into our changing world. While TIME Magazine names The Protestor 2011 Person of the Year and Minnesotans bicker over how to find and fund a new stadium, the BNW is busy skewering it all with the social and political fodder that revels in unrest and has made the theatre the comedy choice for angry citizens since 1958.

Show Director and BNW Artistic Director Caleb McEwen and cast were inspired to join the protests across the globe and write a show that, in true BNW style, exposes all sides of the unhappiness movement. "Whether they want a stadium or not, whether they're a Tea Party activist or they're occupying Wall Street, everyone has one thing in common: everyone thinks everyone else is an idiot,"said McEwen. "We intend to show that everyone is right. This show will set the stage for our 2012 election show this Fall, which will then set the stage for the end of the world as we know it."

The BNW is pleased to announce the return of Andy Hilbrands to the stage (back from a short break after starring in the Fall BNW hit, Obama Mia) and happy to introduce Taj Ruler for her first appearance as a main stage cast member. Taj was last seen in the BNW special Fall performance of Dudley: Rigged for Laughter!, but started her relationship with the BNW years ago as a student in the company's youth program at the BNW Student Union. Veteran BNW camp-members, Josh Eakright, Ellie Hino and Bobby Gardner round out the cast, joined by Peter Guertin as music director (who has corrupted the BNW keyboard for more years than we can count), and James Roop as technical director. Caleb McEwen, with assistance by Katy McEwen, leads the team as Director and Assistant Director. The cast is also bringing back its popular Saturday Late Night improv-only performance, a favorite of hippies, yuppies, squares and suits alike!
