Pat O'Brien stars in Underneath The Lintel
Feb 22, 2012

Underneath The LintelAfter cancelling Sara Morre's Show Ho due to a scheduling conflict, Actors Theater of Minnesota is excited to offer an equally entertaining production with Glen Berger's Underneath the Lintel, starring long-time film and television actor Pat O'Brien. After receiving glowing reviews (Best Audience Reviewed Show of 2010) at the Minnesota Fringe Festival the past two years, Underneath the Lintel plays at the Cabaret at Camp Bar in Saint Paul for three performances: March 29 and 30 at 7:00 p.m., and April 1 at 5:00 p.m.

Underneath the Lintel is a one-man show about a fastidious, eccentric librarian who lives in an orderly world until he discovers one day a book that is 123 years overdue. Determined to track down the original borrower, the librarian leaves his small town in the Netherlands and embarks on a quest that takes him around the world. As he follows the clues, the librarian meticulously collects the evidence; however, in the process, he discovers a mystery that transcends the ages.

Written by Glen Berger, Underneath the Lintel was first produced in 2001 by the Actors' Gang theatre company in Los Angeles.

Underneath the Lintel plays March 29, 30, and April 1, 2012, at Camp Bar and Cabaret, 490 North Robert Street, Saint Paul, MN, 55101. Performances are at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $19, or $14 with a Minnesota Fringe Festival button, and are available at BrownPaperTickets.com or by calling 800-838-3006.

Underneath the Lintel is the fifth and final show in Actors Theater of Minnesota's "Cabaret from the USA" Series made possible through generous support from the Saint Paul Cultural Star Program. More information at ActorsMN.org/Cabaret.
