Season's Greetings from Miss Richfield 1981: We'll All Be Dead By Christmas!

Minnesota's own Miss Richfield 1981 returns to the Illusion Theater to share her special holiday traditions in spite of the looming End of the World, as predicted by the ancient Mayan calendar.  The Midwestern maven is back for her 13th (and maybe final!) year, spreading her own particular, unpredictable Christmas, Kwanzaa, Chanukah cheer!  WE'LL ALL BE DEAD BY CHRISTMAS opens November 30 and offers new songs, new videos, new outfits and new ways to participate in Miss Richfield 1981's annual extravaganza.

Full of surprises and audience interaction, We'll All Be Dead By Christmas brings a festive approach to the impending Apocalyptic doom.  Miss R's latest production, on stage through December 16 at the Illusion Theater on the 8th floor of the Cowles Center for Dance and the Performing Arts, 528 Hennepin Ave. in Minneapolis, is directed by Illusion Executive Producing Director Michael Robins and accompanied by pianist Todd Emanuel Price.  

About Miss Richfield 1981
After an impromptu idea of spicing up a friend's party, Russ King took his beauty queen creation of Miss Richfield 1981 to the stage in February 1996, and began performing at Twin Cities' bars and benefits.  His cabaret career started one year later at the Bryant Lake Bowl Cabaret in Minneapolis.  He and his alter ego have been recognized as one of the Twin Cities' most creative artists and runner-up for "Artist of the Year" by the Minneapolis Star Tribune.  He has performed annually on Illusion's stage since 1996 and performs each summer in Provincetown, Mass., as well as taking his show throughout the country to cabarets and theaters, private and corporate functions, and Atlantis Events cruises and resort vacations.
