  On Golden Pond Reviews

Star Tribune - Somewhat Recommended

"...All the pieces are there but Thompson’s script reveals its cracks too easily at critical junctures. Norman and his daughter, Chelsea (a winning, vulnerable Jennifer Blagen), have long had a frosty relationship. Chelsea brings this to a head and in perhaps eight lines of glib dialogue, the two have resolved a lifetime of baggage and neither seems terribly moved."

How Was The Show - Highly Recommended

"...The Jungle Theater closes its season with the familiar and lovely “On Golden Pond” by Ernest Thompson, starring a “golden” duo, Bain Boehlke and Wendy Lehr. I don’t know how many shows Boehlke and Lehr have done together, or “how far back they go,” but I do know that there are few theater artists in the Twin Cities that are as well known and admired. Together they are pretty irresistible. This one’s simple: Go see it because you love Twin Cities theater. If you don’t know who these two people are, now’s your chance to find out why we love ‘em so."

Aisle Say Twin Cities - Recommended

"...Settling into your seat at the Jungle Theater's production of "On Golden Pond" is like throwing on an old sweater and sitting in front of a fire with a good book and a cup of hot cocoa: It's a warm, comfortable, good-looking production, executed with sure, easy hands, leaving a quiet afterglow."
