This winning comedy asks, "Is all really fair in love?" Young Proteus only has eyes for his hometown sweetheart, Julia. But on a trip to Milan, he gets one look at the lovely Sylvia...and dumps Julia in a heartbeat. Two problems: Sylvia is his best friend's girl, and Julia won't be dumped that easily. Add a band of outlaws, an outraged father and bad-mannered dog, and it's friend versus friend in this wild tale of friendship and forgiveness.

The Two Gentlemen of Verona Reviews

How Was The Show - Recommended

"...Shakespeare has a great time with this material and so, unless you have serious personal problems, will you. The theme of romantic inconstancy is followed to a T. The men, led by scenery-chewing Proteus, exude comic infidelity; the women are true as sword steel. (This theme of twisted romance is developed by the most-fab-playwright-who-ever bestrode-the-planet in many - most - of his comedies). The rest of the cast attacks the material with laudable zest. The scenes have a goofy and catchy energy. Bear-as-Crab will charm your socks off. The set (designed wonderfully by Andrew Boyce, lit by the great Barry Browning) and costumes (Moira Sine Clinton) thrill, pinkfully."

Aisle Say Twin Cities - Highly Recommended

"...Let me just go ahead and say it: The Two Gentlemen of Verona was awesome. It was possibly the first time that I've associated the word "kickass" with Shakespeare. It was fast-paced and energetic and gorgeous. Moria Sine Clinton's costumes were so beautiful as to deserve an entire paragraph (nay, an entire post) to themselves, except that I've never been much of a clothes horse, and I don't think I can describe them sufficiently. They are a beautiful cross of Elizabethan and contemporary fashion in luxuriously textured fabrics; they tell stories about the characters before the actors even open their mouths without ever really overpowering the scene. Just... wow."
