Sister's Easter Catechism Debuts at the New Century

Sister's Easter CatechismSister's Easter Catechism: Will My Bunny Go To Heaven?, the newest addition to the sinfully funny internationally known Late Nite Catechism series, will debut in Minnesota at Hennepin Theatre Trust's New Century Theatre, February 27-March 31, 2013. Starring award-winning veteran actress Kimberly Richards as "Sister," known to Minnesota audiences for her past performances in the Late Nite series, this "holy" irreverent one woman show answers the season's time worn questions such as "Why isn't Easter on the same day every year like Christmas?" It also unearths the origins of Easter bunnies, Easter eggs, Easter baskets, Easter bonnets, and, of course, those yummy Easter Peeps. Sister's Easter Catechism is presented by Hennepin Theatre Trust. Performances run Wednesday-Sunday and reserved tickets go on sale at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 21.

Sister's Easter Catechism is the fourth in the series of plays written by Maripat Donovan, whose Late Nite Catechism franchise has played more than 40,000 performances in front of 10 million audience members in over 250 countries worldwide. An Outer Critics Circle Award and Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award Nominee, it relies heavily on audience interaction and participation. Sister's Easter Catechism answers questions about Saint Francis, pet heaven and the significance of those adorable baby chicks. It also features Sister's own version of the Easter Egg Hunt with special rewards and candy giveaways. This seasonal treat follows a long line of related performances in the Twin Cities including Late Nite Catechism 2 during 2006 and Sister's Christmas Catechism: The Mystery of the Magi's Gold, which played a sold out engagement at Ordway's McKnight Theatre in 2011.

Discounts are available for students, groups, seniors and military members. For tickets and information visit www.HennepinTheatreTrust.org or call 1.800.982.2787.
