Jersey Boys Tour Returning to the Orpheum

The Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning hit musical Jersey Boys, the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, is making its much-anticipated return to Hennepin Theatre Trust's Orpheum Theatre April 28-May 3, 2015 as part of the 2014-2015 Thrivent Financial Broadway on Hennepin season. Directed by two-time Tony Award-winner Des McAnuff, Jersey Boys is written by Academy Award-winner Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe and choreography by Sergio Trujillo.

Jersey Boys is the winner of the 2006 Best Musical Tony Award, the 2006 Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album, the 2009 Olivier Award for Best New Musical and the 2010 Helpmann Award for Best Musical (Australia). Two previous engagements of Jersey Boys in Minneapolis were an overwhelming success, winning life-long fans for the production. The Star Tribune called it "an entertaining jaunt down memory lane" and the Pioneer Press said, "With all the infectious singing and dancing, it's easy to see why the show won the Best Musical Tony!" Jersey Boys worldwide has been seen by more than 22 million people.

Jersey Boys is the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi. This is the true story of how a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide - all before they were thirty. The show features all their hits including "Sherry," "Big Girls Don't Cry," "Oh What A Night," "Walk Like A Man," "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" and "Working My Way Back To You."

The Jersey Boys US National Tour opened to rave reviews in San Francisco on December 1, 2006, and is still breaking house records in cities across North America. Jersey Boys is currently playing in New York; Las Vegas; London; and in cities across North America and the U.K. on National Tours.
