Brave New Workshop to Present 2016 Holiday Show What the Elf?!

What the Elf?!The Brave New Workshop Theatre (BNW) has announced the title and cast of its 2016 Holiday revue, "What the Elf?!" Previews for the show run November 11th - November 18th, with opening night on Saturday, November 19th.

"What the Elf?!" runs through January 28th. All performances are at the Brave New Workshop Theatre main stage at 824 Hennepin Avenue, Downtown Minneapolis. The Brave New Workshop's blockbuster holiday shows are well known around the Twin Cities, and this year there is more material than ever to draw upon.

As we all look forward to the giant "RESET" button that is 2017, we just have one more hill to get over - the upcoming holiday season. This year, bring the family you've been violently disagreeing with on Facebook to beautiful downtown Minneapolis and laugh together at "The Brave New Workshop's 2016 Holiday Revue: What the Elf?!" We'll have signature drinks, hilarity for all, and of course, our own special version of "The Twelve Days of Christmas."

"What the Elf?!" will feature BNW cast members Lauren Anderson, Denzel Belin, Ryan Nelson, Tom Reed, and Taj Ruler. The show will be directed by Caleb McEwen. Josie Just will be the music director, and Matthew Vichlach will provide technical direction.

The Brave New Workshop has been writing, performing and producing sketch comedy and improvisation since 1958 - longer than any other theatre in the United States. Founded by former circus performer Dudley Riggs and currently owned by husband and wife John Sweeney and Jenni Lilledahl, the BNW has become a legendary comedy institution, where audiences enjoy improv and sketch comedy nearly every night of the week.

Alums of the Brave New Workshop main stage include Emmy Award winner Louie Anderson, Pat Proft, Al Franken, Tom Davis, Mo Collins ("Parks and Rec," "Arrested Development," "Mad TV"), Peter MacNichol ("Ally McBeal," "24"), Melissa Peterman ("Reba"), Cedric Yarborough ("Reno 911," "The Boondocks") and Rich Sommer ("Mad Men," "Harvey").

The Brave New Workshop's Creative Outreach business services division trains and entertains Fortune 500 companies like Microsoft, Hilton/Hampton, General Mills, and Target.
